TORONTO, March 17, 2008 - TD Capital Private Equity Investors ("TD Capital") is pleased to announce that Ian Carew has joined the TD Capital investment team as Vice President, based in Toronto. Ian brings over nine years of global private equity fund and co-investment experience to TD Capital and will be active in sourcing, evaluating, structuring and executing private equity transactions across TD Capital's global investment program.

Ian joins TD Capital from CalPERS where he was a Portfolio Manager in the Alternative Investment Management program, a private equity portfolio with more than $40 billion in capital commitments. At CalPERS, Ian led the global venture capital and Asian private equity strategies and was active in the co-investment and infrastructure initiatives. Prior to joining CalPERS in 2006, Ian spent six years with the venture capital group of Ontario Teachers' Private Capital and two years with KIMC, a boutique private equity advisory firm. Ian received his undergraduate degree in Accounting, is qualified as a Chartered Accountant and holds the CFA designation.
